When to Use a Round Brush

Round brushes come in many different sizes with seemingly endless options for pin style. And depending on your hair type, the core of the brush also plays a huge role in getting that salon blowout at home.

With all the different options and combinations, it may be hard to pick which brush is best for your hair. Below, we’ve put together some information on a handful of Bass round brushes and when to use each one.

Pure Bristle with Solid Bamboo Core

This type of round brush uses premium natural bristles that help condition the hair during use. These bristles distribute natural oils from the scalp to the ends of the hair to give you a smooth and shiny result. Natural bristle round brushes are great for all hair types. The bamboo core doesn’t get too hot from the blow dryer, making it ideal for those with fine to normal hair and those looking to minimize the higher temperatures from the hair.

Pure Bristle + Nylon with Ionic Core

This series of round brushes has all of the benefits of the pure bristle brushes but with the added benefit of nylon pins. Not only does this type of brush naturally condition the hair, it also uses nylon pins to penetrate down into the deeper layers of the hair – to help with styling for those with thick or curly hair. The core of this brush is ionic, meaning the barrel replenishes negative ions to further improve the style and condition of the hair. It also heats to a higher temperature than the solid bamboo barrel, therefore making these brushes ideal for those with thick and curly hair.

Nylon Pins with Ionic Core

This type of round brush uses heat resistant nylon pins that give the hair a clean, even finish. These pins are by far the most comfortable pins with a radius tip that does not catch strands of hair and pull. This brush is truly a well-rounded brush – and great for all hair types. The ionic core decreases dry time while also improving the condition of the hair.

Additionally, each of the brushes discussed come in 5 different sizes: extra-small, small, medium, large, and extra-large. The extra small and small brushes are perfect for creating tight curls and tight waves while the medium and large barrels create loose curls and waves. The extra-large barrel is great for those with long hair as well as those that would like extra volume. And all of the Bass round brush handles have rubber grip inlets that improve comfortability and control during use.
